Police Chase Lands Terre Haute Man In Jail
Terre Haute, In. – After a police chase a Terre Haute man is in jail facing multiple charges. It began Around 9pm Monday when Terre Haute Police Officers were dispatched to the area of North 22nd Street and 3rd Avenue on a domestic dispute and stalking. As the police arrived the suspect left the area. A Short time later he was spotted driving a car. When a traffic stop was attempted, he refused to pull over which resulted in a pursuit. After the suspect crashed his car he fled on foot but was captured quickly. The suspect was identified as 43-year-old Jason Cunningham. Cunningham was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries he received. He was treated and released and taken to jail for an active warrant for felony possession of a handgun without a license plus the charges from the Monday night event including of possession of methamphetamine, resisting law enforcement, possession of a controlled substance, leaving the scene of an accident, and possession of a hypodermic syringe.
