Texas Democratic Party officials challenged Kennedy’s application, claiming that most of the petition signatures he gathered were invalid. In 2005, Anderson won the Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning while working for the Courier-Journal in Louisville, Kentucky. The judges complimented his “unusual graphic style that produced extraordinarily thoughtful and powerful messages.”

Texas Has Claimed More Medals Than Most Countries At The Olympics
So far, Texas athletes have claimed more medals than most countries participating in the 2024 Paris Olympics. According to Kxan, by Monday, Texas’ native athletes and those who trained or competed at Texas Universities have won a total of 30 medals, which is just below Australia and above countries such as Japan, Italy and South Korea. Texas has achieved about a third of the U.S. medals.
