Twins to place pivotal infielder on 10-day injured list
The Twins will place Jose Miranda on the 10-day injured list prior to Sunday's game with the Giants, manager Rocco Baldelli told reporters (including Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press). Utilityman Diego Castillo will have his contract selected from Triple-A to take Miranda’s spot on the active roster and the Twins will have to make another move to clear space on the 40-man roster.
Twins 4, Giants 2: Just the FOX, ma’am
This was probably the most vibe-less game I’ve seen all year, with FOX’s national broadcasters finding ways to talk about Groundhog Day, the wonders of lamination, accusing the New York umpiring crew of anti-coastal bias (huh?), and bow ties. With or without their investment, the Twins turned in a 4-2 west coast victory.
Vikings’ Justin Jefferson Did Not Contemplate Sitting Out 2023 Season Following Hamstring Injury
Jefferson suffered the injury in Week 5, leading to a notable absence for the first time in his record-setting career. Questions were raised about how willing he would be to return to the field given the fact extension talks from the previous offseason had not made it across the finish line. The 25-year-old could have shut himself down for the remainder of the campaign, but instead he suited up in Week 14 and played each subsequent contest.

In a recently highlighted case by the Bloomington Police Department, an instance of brazen burglary was attempted by criminals who were not residents of the area. The suspects targeted a jewelry store, but their illicit venture was cut short by law enforcement. Despite the arrests, the Hennepin County Attorney's Office chose to release an arrested party without bail, a decision that opened a discussion on bail reforms and community safety.

(Undated)--Minnesota State Patrol Sgt. Jesse Grabow has another "Ask a Trooper" about getting your driver's license renewed after moving to a new location. Question: I got stopped the other day and the Trooper mentioned that since I moved I need to update my driver’s license address. I thought I could just wait until the license was going to expire and update it then.
Back To School Costs Now Expected To Fall In Minnesota
After several years when inflation made shopping for back-to-school supplies more expensive, there could be good news for parents in Minnesota this fall. While we've been used to costs for just about everything increasing, this year, though, that might be false. At least when it comes to buying all those back-to-school supplies, that is, because sources indicate back-to-school costs this year might NOT be as expensive as previous years here in the North Star State.
