Love has the ability to come across in a variety of ways. It can come in a hug, an act of kindness, a kiss or even a few written words. This fact can often be fascinating and sometimes puzzling, but it does deserve to be recognized and examined. Hence the debut full-length “Love In Short Paragraphs” from the Providence alt-funk act Grizzlies, which they self-released on June 28. There’s a soulful vibe being conveyed via the groovy rhythms courtesy of bassist Mikaela Villani, drummer Riley Smith and keyboardist Emily Iwuc while complimenting the excellent riffs from guitarist Josh Zenil and Cynthia Munrayos’ vocal delivery.

Attleboro man drowns in Rutland jet ski incident, authorities say
Authorities recovered the body in Turkey Hill Pond on Saturday. A 46-year-old Attleboro man died in a jet ski incident in Rutland on Saturday, Rutland police said. The Rutland Police Department and Rutland Fire Department were dispatched to Turkey Hill Pond around 4:30 p.m. after reports of a jet ski overturned in the water, police said in a statement. Witnesses reported the jet ski’s operator was “in depressed” before going missing underwater, according to police.

Mass. weather: Chance of rain, thunderstorms almost daily this week
After a pleasant day with highs in the mid-80s, Massachusetts will experience unsettled weather Monday evening that could be marked by heavy rainfall and localized flooding. But National Weather Service forecasters say the heaviest rainfall is likely to occur offshore, though there is a chance Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard or even Cape Cod are hit hard. As we all know the 4th of July recently passed and Massachusetts is the only state that has a law against consumer fireworks including buying, selling, and using. Rhode Island man facing list of charges after shooting himself during altercation at bar
Colonel Michael J. Winquist, Chief of the Cranston Police Department, has announced that a local man is facing multiple charges after a shooting at a local bar. On Saturday, at just after 11:15 p.m., Cranston uniformed officers were working a security detail at 39 West, located at 39 Phenix Avenue in Cranston when they heard a gunshot. The officers then observed two men fighting. Officers immediately separated both men and observed a handgun in the hand of one of the subjects identified as 28-year-old Michael Mancini of Cranston. Officers took Mancini to the ground as he refused to release his grip on the gun and violently resisted arrest. Officers were eventually able to subdue Mancini and seized the loaded handgun that contained a fifteen-round magazine.
