    Remsen St. Mary baseball’s six-run first inning proves key in Hawks’ 10-6 win over North Linn

    CARROLL, Iowa (KCAU) – The #3 Remsen St. Mary’s used a big six-run first inning as momentum, defeating #6 North Linn 10-6.

    Hunter Pick led the Hawks with a home run and 3 RBI while Landon Waldschmitt and Brady Koenck each tallied a pair of RBI. RSM pitcher Collin Homan struck out four batters in six innings of work for the defending 1A State champions.

    The Hawks will face #2 Newman Catholic in the semifinal round on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at Merchants Park.
