Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is known for being outspoken and doesn’t mince words when targeting specific individuals he feels deserve his criticism. He usually vocalizes his opinions during interviews or shares them on social media until he gets bored and then directs his attention elsewhere. However, he just won’t let up on Sean “P. Diddy” Combs.

Until recently, Jackson appeared to be antagonizing Combs randomly because he was an easy target due to his controversy over the past year. On the other hand, the history between both men goes way deeper than Jackson mocking Combs.

Both Men Have Insulted Each Other on Songs and In Person

For nearly 20 years, Jackson and Combs traded insults in song lyrics and at celebrity events. Both men have made light of their rivalry in the past, but the conflict is personal.

According to CNN Entertainment, Jackson has shaded Combs without mentioning him by name:

In his diss track, 50 raps, “I guess this means I won’t be invited to the white parties in the Hamptons,” referencing Combs’ famous soirees held in the upscale New York community.

    Combs brushed off Jackson's diss:

In a 2018 interview on "The Breakfast Club," Diddy claimed he and 50 were completely cool. "I don't have no beef with Fif. He loves me," Diddy insisted. "Y'all can't see that he loves me? You really think that's hate? ... You know he loves me." Perhaps this is a case of thou who doth protest too much, because, from all of their interactions over the years, it's clear that 50 and Diddy have a tumultuous friendship, if it can even be called that. – Courtesy of NickiSwift.com

50 Cent Is Familiar with P. Diddy’s Predatory Reputation

For the fans who are unaware, Jackson has been in the music industry since the mid-90s. He started as a local artist but still managed to gain the attention of major record labels and other industry figures.

Jackson has had conflicts with many other rappers and street guys due to his antagonistic manner. However, Combs seems to irk Jackson’s nerves due to his rumored shady business tactics and history as a predator, which has come back to haunt him.

Additionally, Jackson has mentioned Combs’ secret "Freak-Offs" and has made light of the controversy:

“That’s why I don’t be going to them Puffy parties,” 50 Cent quipped during an October 2023 concert, per social media footage. “[He’ll] hug you from the front and the back at the same time? F–k you talkin’ about? Look, if you into that, you into that. I’m fine with it. To each his own. I’m just sayin' this ain't my motherf–king kind of party. It's uncomfortable. I think I belong in the girls' bathroom when s–t like that is going on.” – Courtesy of Yahoo! Entertainment

Business Has Always Been a Sore Point Between Both Men

While Jackson and Combs are shrewd as businessmen, they have always clashed and competed with each other to prove who is the better industry mogul. For example, when former Bad Boy Records artist Mason “Ma$e” Betha collaborated with G-Unit artists, Combs blocked 50 Cent from conducting business with Betha as a result.

From 2007 to 2014, Jackson and Combs were both promoting two individual alcohol brands Cîroc and Effen Vodka. What started as a harmless competition turned into a mud-slinging contest.

Jackson has a vendetta against Combs and doesn’t seem to be letting up. He isn’t surprised by the accusations against Combs and his incarceration, but he does find the controversy amusing and considers it an opportunity to continue throwing shade at his long-time rival.
