Inmate who died Sunday at Washoe County Jail identified

The Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the Washoe County Jail inmate who died Sunday after being found unresponsive in their cell as Grant L. Clark, 63.

The cause and manner of Clark's death is pending investigation and completion of an autopsy and lab testing, the medical examiner said. Clark is believed to have been homeless.

Clark was found unresponsive in his cell about 12:15 p.m. Sunday. Lifesaving measures were performed, but he was pronounced dead at the scene about 30 minutes later.

Sheriff's office detectives and the county medical examiner's office are investigating the death.
