3 pounds of meth, other drugs found in Monday traffic stop

A special narcotics unit in Reno-Sparks seized three pounds of methamphetamine and other drugs during a traffic stop on Monday.

Detectives from the Regional Narcotics Unit stopped the vehicle traveling from California to Reno-Sparks, Sparks police said in a Monday release.

The driver, Kengji Battle, was arrested on several drug-related charges, including three counts of trafficking 400 or more grams of meth; 100 grams or more of cocaine; and 100 grams or more of fentanyl. Battle also faces three counts each of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and possession of a controlled substance.

The RNU includes detectives from the Reno and Sparks police departments.
