In a music video shot at the University of Nevada, Reno campus, teens from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada sing "Everything Changes," with actor Jeremy Renner.

The song, written and recorded in 48 hours, was produced on the John Lennon Education Bus, an educational mobile recording studio that travels the world giving an glimpse into music recording.

The video was shown at opening night of Artown, the annual arts festival held in Reno every July.

The video was shot around the UNR campus, including using the backdrop of Manzanita Lake, after the mobile studio parked on campus for two days.

Six teens wrote the song and played the music for the video that features the "Avengers" star helping out on guitar. He also helped come up with some of the lyrics. The teens, either current littles in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program or those looking to be matched with adult mentors, were chosen for their musical skills.

Renner has often given his time to charities in Northern Nevada including shop with cop events. He currently is in Lake Tahoe hosting a camp for children in foster care.

The song about accepting changes is fitting for Renner, who has undergone multiple surgies and more than a year of rehabilitation after nearly dying. On Jan. 1, 2023, Renner was run over by a snowplow outside his home near Mt. Rose Ski Resort, just outside of Reno.

Renner opens up the video before the song starts.

"The whole idea is to empower them through music and video production," Renner said of watching the teens collaborate to create music.

The song begins, " Everything changing but I know when one door closes another one opens up.

There's always new people, new ideas and new lessons to be learned.

When everything gets a little bit crazy I take a breath and remember to be grounded through the changes."
