Grand Sierra Resort Named Smart Meetings Magazine’s ‘Best Gaming Casino Hotel’

Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (GSR) in Reno, Nevada, was recently named “Best Gaming/Casino Hotel” in Smart Meetings Magazine’s 2024 Smart Stars Awards. The magazine’s awards platform celebrates meeting planners’ choices for hotels, resorts, properties, cruise lines and conference, and convention centers worldwide.

The “Best Gaming/Casino Hotel” accolade recognizes GSR’s commitment to excellence in hospitality, entertainment, and customer service within the gaming and casino industry.

Furthermore, a community vote of business professionals who access the platform nominate candidates. However, this is based on first-person experiences at hotels, resorts, venues, and destinations across the country.

Per the casino’s website, each nominee is hand-selected by Smart Meetings’ audience of meeting professionals across 32 distinguished categories. In fact, each category is critical to the success of their meetings and events.

Other nominees for “Best Gaming/Casino Hotel” include Bellagio Las Vegas, Caesars Palace, and Durango Casino & Resort. MGM National Harbor, Mohegan Sun, and Resorts World Las Vegas were also listed.

The Smart Stars Awards are known to help families and other travelers compare casinos, hotels, resorts, cruise lines, and other establishments or amenities for vacations and regular visits.
