Popular British chef Gordon Ramsay is chuffed as chips with the opening of his eponymous Ramsay’s Kitchen in Reno.

Ramsay gave a shoutout to Reno as he celebrated the opening of his latest restaurant in the area.

“I am thrilled to open Ramsay’s Kitchen in the Biggest Little City in the World,” Ramsay said in a statement. “Ramsay’s Kitchen holds a special place for me as the menu is inspired by some of my favorite dishes.

The opening of Ramsay’s Kitchen brings the number of restaurants by the celebrity chef in Northern Nevada to three. Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen Restaurant opened at Harveys Lake Tahoe Hotel & Casino in 2020. Ramsay’s Fish & Chips just opened in May at the Silver Legacy.

Ramsay’s Kitchen features a more upscale menu than Ramsay’s Fish & Chips, which caters to a more casual crowd. Items on the menu for Ramsay’s Kitchen include a $69.95 “Everyday Sunday Roast” with prime rib and Ramsay’s trademark beef Wellington for $79.95.

The reputation of Ramsay’s Kitchen as a fine dining restaurant makes it an especially important opening for Caesars Entertainment, which brought all three Ramsay restaurants to the area.

Ken Ostempowski, senior vice president and general manager for The Row, called Ramsay’s Kitchen not just one of the premiere restaurants at The Row but all of Reno.

“It marks one of the biggest openings for us here in town,” Ostempowski said.

Ramsay, who likes to say that customers vote with their feet, previously described Ramsay’s Kitchen as his take on a restaurant geared toward families during an interview this month with St. Louis Public Radio . While every Ramsay’s Kitchen has shared items in their menus, Ramsay added that he curates every location’s offerings instead of simply cutting and pasting whole menus from other Ramsay’s Kitchen restaurants.

With the opening of Ramsay’s Kitchen in Reno, diners will have a chance to sample one of those curated experiences, according to Ramsay.

“I’m excited to share that with guests at The Row,” Ramsay said.
