Trump's vice presidential pick, JD Vance, coming to Reno for rally on Tuesday

Vice presidential nominee JD Vance will hold a rally in Reno this Tuesday at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.

Doors for the event open at 12:30 p.m., and Vance is expected to give remarks at 3:30.

The Republican senator from Ohio jumped on the ticket on July 15 as former president Donald Trump's running mate after months of speculation and multiple contenders in consideration.

The Ohio senator won his seat in 2022 . At 39 years old, Vance is the first millennial vice presidential candidate .

Vance grew up in Jackson, Kentucky, and Middletown, Ohio, and joined the Marine Corps after high school before attending Ohio State University and Yale Law School. He was also a prominent figure in the tech world as a venture capitalist in Silicon Valley.

According to a press release, Vance will discuss the increase of prices on goods in Nevada, border policies and housing pressures at the Reno rally.
