MSP investigating crash of vehicle into Marquette Township building
MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI— A vehicle crashed through a Marquette Township storefront Thursday. Michigan State Police from the Negaunee Post say it happened shortly after noon at CosmoProf. A 60-year-old Marquette woman tried to park her Lincoln sedan in front of the business, but troopers believe her brakes failed and the car smashed into the building.
Pleasant U.P. weekend with some thundershowers
High pressure is still controlling conditions today. Sunshine seasonably warm weather prevails today. Winds will be a touch breezy along shorelines with 10-15mph speeds. A weak front sweeps from north to south across the U.P. early tomorrow. Scattered light showers develop in the morning across the north with thundershowers popping up across the south in the afternoon. For now, severe weather isn’t expected. Most of the weekend will be dry with sunshine, which continues into Monday. Next Tuesday a system will bring a better shot of thunderstorms in the afternoon with widespread rain to follow on Wednesday.
