Williston Airport Director talks subsidies as city renews minimum revenue guarantee agreement with SkyWest
WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - The Williston City Commission voted to approve renewal of a minimum revenue guarantee agreement with SkyWest Airlines to keep Delta at XWA. The contract, which was set to expire in June, maintains daily flights between Williston and Minneapolis for 2024 with the expectation of the city covering any losses incurred. This has been in place since 2021 as a way to bring the airline back to XWA after the pandemic.
Emerald Ash Borer Infestation Confirmed in Brookings; Quarantine Expanded
The South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources (DANR) has confirmed the presence of the emerald ash borer (EAB) in Brookings. This invasive beetle, which feeds on North American ash species, has prompted the expansion of the state Plant Pest Quarantine to include Brookings County, along with Minnehaha, Lincoln, Turner, and Union Counties.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR/KFGO UPDATE 8PM) — Court documents are revealing details from a Fargo shooting that left one man dead. Fargo Police were called to the Arbors apartment complex in the 2200 block of 6th Ave S around 10:15 p.m. on June 24. Officers found Zion Brooks, 20, with a serious wound to his face in the parking lot. Court documents say Brooks’ wound indicated that he had been shot at close range.

Bismarck man pleads guilty to dealing more than 260 pounds of drugs
BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - A Bismarck man has pleaded guilty to multiple drug charges after police said they found him with more than 260 pounds of drugs. Bismarck Police officers say Chane Britton was selling more than 50 pounds of marijuana, 180 pounds of THC extract products and 30 pounds of psilocybin products.
