Developer Presents Final Plan for Condo Hotel in Downtown State College
A developer has submitted final plans for a condominium hotel in downtown State College, with the start of construction anticipated in early 2025. James Venture and Jamison Morse, of Sewickley-based VS Development Consultants, presented to the State College Planning Commission on Wednesday the final land development plan for the nine-story, mixed-use building called Nittany Residence Club. Pending approvals and permitting, the building will be constructed at 321 W. Beaver Ave., at the corner of South Atherton Street and West Beaver Avenue. Local Woman Accused of Stealing Adult Toy, Other Items from Walmart Totaling Nearly $500
CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police say a local woman allegedly stole several items, including an adult toy, from Walmart in Cranberry totaling nearly $500. According to court records, Franklin-based State Police filed criminal charges against 46-year-old Courtney Maund, of Tionesta, in District Judge Patrick Lowrey’s office on Tuesday, July 2.
High temperatures in the 90s forecast for central Pa. this weekend
The National Weather Service is calling for more weather in the low to mid-90s and possible thunderstorms throughout central Pennsylvania this weekend. The Harrisburg area is expected to have a high temperature near 92 on Friday with a 50% chance of precipitation after 1 p.m. Other places in central Pa., such as Lancaster and York will have heat indexes around 100 on Friday, the NWS said.

The hearing will be held on July 31 at Bethlehem City Hall. US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has rescheduled a hearing to take public comment on the renewal of the Category 2 Slot Machine Operator Licence for Wind Creek Bethlehem casino, Northampton County. It will be held at the Bethlehem City Hall on July 31. A severe storm which knocked out electricity at Bethlehem City Hall forced the cancellation of the previously scheduled hearing on June 26.
