RHEA COUNTY — The Boys and Girls Club of the Ocoee Region recently announced the appointment of Nicki Bentley as the Unit Director for Rhea County.

With a background in business management, accounting and project management, club officials said Bentley brings a wealth of experience to her new role. Her dedication to community service and leadership skills were evident during her involvement with the newly created Rhea County Boys and Girls Club board, officials said, where she played a pivotal role in the successful launch event on April 19.

In her new position, Bentley will collaborate with the board to oversee daily operations, recruit members, hire staff and foster community relations. Her high energy, dedication, and love for children make her an ideal leader for the Rhea County Boys and Girls Club, officials said.

Bentley’s commitment to youth development extends beyond her professional endeavors. Her involvement with organizations such as 4-H and the Junior Fair Board demonstrates her passion for empowering the next generation. As the mother of Tyler and guardian of niece, Brey, she understands the importance of providing a supportive environment for young people to thrive.

Outside of her professional and community commitments, Bentley enjoys traveling, volunteering, reading, and spending time at the beach with her three dogs: Bella, Phoenix and Coalie.

Britt Debusk, Director of Operations for Boys and Girls Clubs of Ocoee remarked, “I am very excited about the start of the Rhea County Unit. The board has done a great job on jump-starting it, and we have come a long way in a short period of time. Nicki was a big part of this, worked super hard and did a lot of good work on the Price is Right fund raiser that was planned and executed in six weeks. I am excited about the work she will do in the lives of the kids in the Rhea County community.”

Dustin Henderson, chair of Rhea club said, “I’m so excited we were able to get Nicki for our unit director position for Rhea County’s Boys and Girls Club. She has been a key player in getting us this far working on our volunteer board, and I know she will do great things as Rhea Unit Director.”

Club officials said these efforts echo the Boys and Girls Club motto: “Great Futures Start Here!” They said the mission is clear: To offer a safe an encouraging place to go during out of school time to enable all young people especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as caring, productive, responsible citizens.

Debusk noted, “The first day of registration will be May 6, and we are shooting for May 28 to be open.”
