Rhea County Man Charged With Killing Neighbor During Argument Over Fireworks
A Rhea County man has been charged with killing a woman during an argument over fireworks. It happened Saturday, July 6, 2024 in Dayton, Tennessee. Troy Cranston Butler, age 57, reportedly went over to his neighbors to confront them about shooting off fireworks and got into an argument with another man. Heather Danielle Higgins attempted to break up the argument and was fatally shot in the chest. Butler has been charged with Criminal Homicide and is being held on a $5 million bond.
