MINOCQUA — 10u stallions head to Minocqua for their first tourney. We drew a tough Rhinelander team for the first match and they showed up ready to play. Cash Theisen, Ridge Hessedal and Cameron Williams pitched for Antigo, but we just didn’t have our bats going to give the boys a little help. Jordy Zupon , Nolan Schofield, and Cash Theisen all singled for Antigo but even with the walks Rhinelander provided, we left bases loaded twice and couldn’t do anything about it. Final Rhinelander 10 Antigo 0.

The second game on Saturday was against a tough Janesville team as well. Nolan Schofield started on the hill and pitched three complete innings striking out four batters, Jordy Zupon, and Ridge Hessedal pitched the next two innings and that was just enough for us to end up with a 9-9 tie. At the plate for Antigo smashing hits were Nolan Schofield, Brian Shultz, Cameron Williams, Chase Muraski, and Jace Parliek.

Our third and final game was against Escanaba and hard to believe but this one ended up in a 7-7 tie after going six complete innings.

Hessedal doubled in the 4th as we were down 5-0 to get the train rolling! Then Brantley Mattek, Hayden Marx, Theisen, Schultz, Williams, and Parliek all added singles. Two great defensive plays in this game were Hayden Marx backing up an errant throw and throwing the kid out at 2nd base and Mattek making a great sliding catch in the 4th! Taking the hill for Antigo was Schofield, Theisen, and Zupon and battling against an aggressive Escanaba squad!
