Attention all interested in body movement and space exploration, we are thrilled to announce the upcoming event, "AS220 Calendar — Contact Improvisation (CI) Basics for BIPOC Community with Alexa Barrìga." This unique opportunity is designed to create an open, intentional space for Black Indigenous & People of Color to practice and explore the relationship between bodies and space.

The event will be held on Sun, Dec 17, from 1pm to 2pm at the 95 Empire, 95 Empire St, Providence, RI. This is a fantastic opportunity for beginners and people new to the form to engage with the basics of Contact Improvisation. The class will focus on various movements such as falling, spirals, lifts, rolls, standing still, leaning back to back, and laying on the floor.

Guidance and reflection will be provided to support participants in building fundamentals. The class is open to all levels, so no prior experience is necessary. This is a unique opportunity to explore the art of movement in a supportive and intentional community setting.

For any questions or further information, please reach out to alexanbarriga@gmail.com. We look forward to seeing you there, ready to explore and practice with intention and care.
