Surprising Children with Critical Illnesses: A Magical Escape!

Make-a-Wish in conjunction with American Airlines decided to select 20 children for a once in a life-time trip to Walt Disney World. The announcement was made yesterday at the company headquarters.

American Airlines is calling their free flight the “Wish Flight” for the children and their families. The trip is hoped to give the children a break from dealing with doctors, and a few days of pure fun.

The parents should enjoy the break too because being a care-giver is a stressful job, yet every one these parents are happy to do.

The Wish Flight will leave from the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport on April 17, 2024. American Airlines is taking it a step further by giving the families a send-off party at the gate.

The Wish flight and trip to Disney World are sponsored by the North Texas Wish organization. So far 630 wishes have been granted this year! The sad news is there are 1200 children still on the waiting list.

The Wish foundation needs money and volunteers to make all this happen. Since Covid they have lost many of their volunteers.
