Dane County Circuit Court Judge Everett Mitchell issued a temporary injunction June 25 that permits municipal clerks to send absentee ballots via email to voters with print disabilities — voters who use assistance to read or mark a paper ballot — according to a Disability Rights Wisconsin press release.

Several Spanish mustangs have been attacked by wolves in Bayfield County over the past couple months, according to the Department of Natural Resources. Reports obtained by the Daily Press indicate a Spanish mustang mare was attacked on June 16 and a Spanish mustang foal was attacked on July 14. POLICE: Shelter in place order remains in Amherst standoff
Police from multiple agencies are working together Friday to take an armed fugitive into custody, while a shelter in place order remains active for residents in Amherst. Jeffery E. Miller, 32, is wanted on charges of attempted homicide of a law enforcement officer. Miller, of Sauk County, was located at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 25 at 450 Mill Ave. in the village of Amherst. Five people were apprehended by members of a tactical team but Miller retreated into the home and fired shots at police officers, according to a news release from Portage County Sheriff Mike Lukas.
