From city to countryside, flooding continues to affect Faribault area & beyond
NEARLY TWO DOZEN city streets, county highways and township roads remain closed throughout Rice County due to floodwaters. The number seems unprecedented. Closures include several streets in Faribault along the Cannon and Straight Rivers. More rain is possible later today. Exactly what we don’t need. In Warsaw, the owner of Channel Inn put out a call for help on Facebook, and within minutes, community members started showing up to help fill sandbags. "We're fine. Floods have hit Faribault, Morristown, Dundas, Northfield and likely more cities in and around Rice County, as river gauges surpass their historic highs around Faribault.
