Rice Lake Middle School's eighth-grade class invites the public to an all-you-can-eat Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser on Friday, May 17, from 5-8 p.m. at the Blue Hills Masonic Center, 225 W. South St., Rice Lake. All proceeds will go to support their class trip to Washington, D.C., in June.

Tickets can be purchased from any participating eighth-grader, at the Rice Lake Middle School office or at the door. Cost is $12 for ages 13 to adult, $6 for ages 6-12 and free for ages 5 and under. Takeout dinners are also available.

"During the trip, students will get to visit several historical monuments, like the Lincoln Memorial, as well as several historical museums like the Smithsonian," eighth-grader Mylee Waldron said. "Students will get to pay their respects at Arlington National Cemetery and Gettysburg."

She added, "Alongside all of the amazing educational experiences, students will get to unwind at Hershey Park and spend quality time with their friends. Each student has something they are excited for — from being away from home to learning about our nation's history. We hope you can come by the fundraiser so you can ask them what they are excited for yourselves."
