The topic of the Aging and Disability Resource Center's Lunch Bunch on Wednesday, Sept. 11, is transformational brain art. The goal of Lunch Bunch is to provide people living with memory concerns and their care partners a safe space to connect with others. It is offered 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Turtleback Restaurant, 1985 18½ St., Rice Lake.

At the upcoming special session of Lunch Bunch, artist Sherry Wesolowski of Cameron, founder of Up and Away Art, will aim to inspire participants through a hands-on lesson in transformational brain art.

“Your memory doesn’t have to be working at 100% to have fun with art; there’s no wrong way to do art,” said Trisha Witham, ADRC dementia care specialist. “That’s just one reason we’re excited to be able to bring this event to our area. We encourage anyone with memory concerns, and their care partners, to join us for this special session of Lunch Bunch.”

Reservations are required for the Lunch Bunch program. RSVP one week prior to Trisha Witham at 715-537-6225 or trisha.witham@co.barron.wi.us. Cost is $15 each for those who wish to stay for lunch.

Remaining Lunch Bunch dates in 2024 are Oct. 9, Nov. 13 and Dec. 11.
