    Names identified in fatal Burnett County crash

    The names of those involved in a crash in Burnett County on Sept. 6, in which one person was fatally injured, have been released.

    According to the village of Siren Police Department, Burnett County dispatch received a report around 11:15 a.m. Sept. 6 that a white pickup truck had gone through the wall of the Lilac Grove Apartment building at 24145 First Ave. in Siren. An officer was dispatched to the scene and upon arrival, observed the truck had breached the south wall of the structure into a single apartment. The officer then requested fire and EMS for assistance with extrication and evaluation. In the course of the investigation, a lone occupant of the apartment, now identified as Dianne I. Kemp, 81, Siren, was found dead.

    The driver of the vehicle, Linda M. Hill, 73, Siren, was taken into custody for testing and interviews. The investigation is ongoing.

    Burnett County Sheriff's Office, Siren Fire Department, North Memorial Ambulance, the Burnett County Medical Examiner's Office and Bruce's Towing assisted.
