    Maple Syrup Producers Association's fall tour is Oct. 5

    The Wisconsin Maple Syrup Producers Association will be hosting its fall tour on Oct. 5 in District 5, which includes the Rice Lake and Barron area. This event is open to the public and will showcase the Wisconsin maple syrup industry as it travels to three sugarbushes.

    The fall tour will also include stops at Pioneer Village Museum and Norswiss Farms LLC. Tour registration starts at 7:30 a.m. at the museum, at 1866 13½-14th Ave., Cameron. Buses leave the museum at 8 a.m. and travel to A&M Pure Maple Syrup of Dallas, Helms Sugar Shack of Barron, Norswiss Farms LLC and Three Pat's LLC of Rice Lake. The tour will then travel back to the museum for lunch and guided museum tours, ending at 4:30 p.m.

    The Wisconsin Maple Syrup Producers Association represents maple syrup producers around the state with the goal of improving the ability of its members to produce and market the finest pure maple syrup in North America.
