Northern Star opens with 'Ms. Homes & Ms. Watson — Apt. 2B'

Northern Star Theatre Company of 12 W. Marshall St., Rice Lake, opens its fall season with a clever, fast-paced mystery.

Elementary, my dear Watson. Or is it? When Sherlock (French for “not Shirley”) Holmes and her roommate, Not-a Doctor Joan Watson, are called to solve a murder, more questions than answers arise. Sherlock’s keen observation skills are put to the test when she keeps hearing, “You’re not the only one with clever ideas.”

Has Holmes finally met her match? Find out in Kate Hamill’s “Ms. Holmes & Ms. Watson — Apt. 2B,” which cheerfully desecrates the stories of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It is presented through special arrangement with TRW PLAYS, New York, NY (trwplays.com).

Performance dates are Oct. 3-6 and Oct. 10-13, Thursdays-Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. General admission cost is $15, students $10, with a recommended audience age of 13 and older.
