    Police Logs: Neighbors threatening to shoot

    The police dispatch center receives several hundred calls weekly. The small sampling below shows their diversity.

    Sunday, Oct. 611:25 a.m. Caller is reporting a crash at the intersection. She was coming over the hill and the other vehicle was at the centerline when they collided, no injuries. They left the scene to get service but will be returning to meet officers. 12:20 p.m. Officer will be writing the crash report. 3½ St. & 1st Ave., Prairie Farm.

    11:33 a.m. Caller says a white Jeep passed her on Highway M near the theater and about ran into her. Offending vehicle is now on Highway C heading into Rice Lake. 11:47 a.m. No locate.

    11:36 a.m. 911 caller is requesting an ambulance for a 62-year-old man who crashed his truck in the driveway. Caller believes he may be having a stroke. The subject is complaining of head and neck pain. Subject does have a history of high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Paged Cumberland Ambulance and first responders. 11:58 a.m. The subject did crash on the east side of the property, nothing on the roadway. Superior Ave., Cumberland.

    3:46 p.m. 911 caller says he witnessed a two-car crash at the intersection. There is no PI but there is road blockage. 3:48 p.m. Wrecker requested for both vehicles. Officer says to page Rice Lake Fire for debris clean-up. 4:46 p.m. Towing company has the vehicles. South Access Road & Wisconsin Ave., Rice Lake.

    Monday, Oct. 74:13 p.m. RP says a vehicle drove the wrong way on the Highway 53 off ramp and traveled westbound on Highway 8. Now northbound on County O, white Ford. Almost caused a crash. 4:15 p.m. No plate given. 4:18 p.m. Given to county and Rice Lake units.

    10:10 p.m. Caller says there is a van that has loud music playing in the parking lot. The front desk at the hotel has asked the occupants of the vehicle to turn the music down but they have not done so. She is requesting police speak with them to turn the music down. 10:24 p.m. Officer spoke with female subject who advised she is picking up a friend and will not be returning. She agreed to turn down the music until she leaves. Main St., Rice Lake.

    Tuesday, Oct. 89:18 a.m. Caller says that last Friday she was at a bar in Rice Lake and subject was harassing her and also stabbed her phone. She would like to speak to Rice Lake Police Department about this incident. She also was given information on how to file for a TRO per her request. 9:45 a.m. Officer will be stopping by bar to see if they have video of the incident. 5:27 p.m. Subject was served a TRO. Highway SS.

    3:28 p.m. Caller says her 12-year-old son called her claiming he was hit by a car on his bike but is not injured. He and the vehicle are both in front of the bank in Barron. 3:30 p.m. The juvenile is limping, requesting EMS. 3:33 p.m. Fire is not needed. LaSalle Ave., Barron.

    Wednesday, Oct. 99:58 a.m. Caller with the Highway Department says a Chevy passed him and several other trucks in a no passing zone going up a hill. He would be willing to fill out a statement. 10:01 a.m. Traffic with the vehicle, Highway 8 at 18th Street. 10:11 a.m. It was a road rage incident with another vehicle. Barron.

    10:03 a.m. Officer requested a CAD for a dog case. 6:59 p.m. Caller says that she was told to make contact with her neighbor in reference to this case. They attempted to do so and the neighbor threatened to shoot them twice and beat up her husband. They are now back at home. Caller advised that she does not want her name said because the neighbor did not know who they were or where they live and she would like it to stay that way. 7:42 p.m. The subjects at this location stated that these are not their dogs. They have other family members’ dogs on the property. Issue has been resolved. 6th Ave., Chetek.

    Thursday, Oct. 108:11 a.m. Caller says there are wood slabs on the road just north of the entrance to Walmart on 19th Street blocking lane of travel. 8:23 a.m. Someone removed the debris prior to their arrival. Rice Lake.

    10:29 a.m. Caller says her parents took 10 of her cats while she was asleep and abandoned them on a side road. She does not know where her cats are. She would like to speak to an officer. 11:27 a.m. When the stepfather opened the door this morning, the cats ran out. Hepburn St., Prairie Farm.

    5:12 p.m. Caller with Farm & Fleet says a male subject came into the store and put on a new pair of boots and walked out of the store. The subject is no longer there. 5:25 p.m. They are going to work on identifying the individual and they will be charged for retail theft. 5:53 p.m. Request Barron Police Department attempt to make contact with a possible suspect. 6:09 p.m. Contact was made with one of the suspects. Rice Lake.

    6:32 p.m. Seven-year-old girl was on the playground and is missing. They have been looking for about 15 minutes. 6:34 p.m. While on the phone caller said that she found her. Moon Lake Park, Rice Lake.

    Friday, Oct. 119:45 a.m. Caller is receiving complaints from neighbors stating there are duck hunters again trespassing on the island. She could not confirm if the hunters were in the water or on land. 11:03 a.m. Everything the duck hunters were doing was legal. 23½ St. & 11½ Ave., Cameron.

    7:30 a.m. Caller says a vehicle is all over the road and has now pulled over to the side of the road. He is willing to fill out a statement. 7:33 a.m. The van is no longer parked on South Street. Will continue looking in the area. 7:36 a.m. No locate. Rice Lake.

    10:44 p.m. Caller says she heard about four gunshots to the north of her residence. 10:53 p.m. Officer just spoke with caller, advised the last shot was about 15 minutes ago, she believes the shots were from somewhere on the lake. 11:07 p.m. Officer is out at the caller’s address. 11:17 p.m. Checked the area, caller was advised to call back if she hears anything further. 10½ Ave., Cameron.
