Jane Fetting's Cookin' Up a Storm at 422 N. Main St., Rice Lake, reopened Thursday morning after being closed for 14 months.

The owner said difficulty in staffing, the reconstruction project on Main Street and high demand for the catering part of her business prompted the closing, but she is glad to be back.

The Chamber of Commerce and downtown merchants also are pleased to have a place to grab a bite to eat downtown.

"The Chamber is thrilled to have Cookin' Up a Storm back open and serving breakfast and lunch on Main Street," Chamber Executive Director Jody Greiner said. "Jane is an amazing cook, and we look forward to her continued success."

Those stopping by during the grand reopening could register for door prizes and get a complimentary cinnamon roll, or with a purchase receive a made from scratch lemonade.

The bakery and bistro is open each Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Find menu items and other details online at cookinupastorm.biz . Or call 715-651-4314. Wicked Whisk is no longer part of the business name.
