Home health aide caught snooping around Fayette County home, family says
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A Fayette County family is waiting for answers after their home health aide was caught on camera snooping through their things. That aide is under investigation by her employer, Caring Mission Home Care, after videos show her with a flashlight apparently going through the family's things while she was supposed to be caring for her hospice patient. "It went on for hours," said Terry Christopher, the patient's daughter. "She would pace around the kitchen looking at different things in my home. Area First Responder Passes Away; Served 30 Years
An area volunteer fire department is mourning the loss of one of its long-time members, according to a recent post on its Facebook page. The Brookhaven Volunteer Fire Department reported that a near 30-yer member passes away. Adam Kerns was listed in the post as the member who passed away.
WVU women’s basketball opens trip with 94-44 win over Rome Selects
ROME, Italy – The West Virginia University women’s basketball team opened its foreign tour with a 50-point, 94-44 win over Rome Selects on Thursday. The Mountaineers led the whole way after jumping out to a 21-13 lead in the opening quarter. At halftime, WVU extended its lead to 28 points, 49-21. The Mountaineers limited Rome Selects to just eight points in the second quarter. West Virginia outscored Rome Selects 18-13 in the third quarter and 25-10 in the fourth to cruise to a 50-point win.
WVU WR Preston Fox Receives National Recognition for Versatility
WVU wide receiver Preston Fox is receiving national recognition for his versatility. On Thursday, Fox was named to the initial 2024 Paul Hornung Award Watch List. According to the Louisville Sports Commission, The Paul Hornung Award is given annually to the most versatile player in major college football by the Louisville Sports Commission in memory of the late football legend and Louisville native Paul Hornung. The winner and his family will be honored at the annual Paul Hornung Award dinner in Louisville, Kentucky, in March 2025.
Local library to teach cryptid art class
MORGANTOWN, W.Va (WDTV) - West Virginia is home to many stories about cryptids and other supernatural experiences. The Clinton District Public Library will be hosting a unique art class, where kids in grades one through five can learn how to draw some of those iconic cryptids, including the Mothman, Flatwoods Monster and the Grafton Monster.
