Judge refuses dismissal in case against commissioners
Martin County Commissioners Emily Biggs, Ronnie Smith and Chair Dempsey Bond were not successful in their attempt to end a lawsuit against them. The three commissioners are currently defending the lawsuit brought by a Martin County citizens group claiming the three commissioners violated the North Carolina Open Meeting Laws on numerous occasions. Cops seek Honda driver in possible road rage shooting near Food Lion in Creedmoor
CREEDMOOR, N.C. (WNCN) — On Monday afternoon, the Creedmoor Police Department responded to a shooting that occurred near Food Lion on Wilton Avenue. Police said shots were fired from one vehicle into another as the two proceeded east on Wilton. They said one passenger of the vehicle was struck by the shots and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The victim is in stable condition and no other injuries have been reported.
