Hodgenville man charged with murder, captured in Hart County
UPTON, Ky. – A Hodgenville man is charged with murder after an alleged hit and run in Hardin County on Wednesday morning at 11:53 am. According to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, Matthew Bush, 33, was operating a 1993 Chevrolet Truck southbound on North Walnut Street in Upton, when he struck and killed a pedestrian that entered the roadway to return to a residence.

Man arrested after allegedly robbing a Northern Kentucky bank, making terroristic threats
FLORENCE, Ky. (WKRC) - A man was arrested in Florence on Thursday after he allegedly robbed a bank. It happened at 5 p.m. at the Fifth Third Bank, near 8100 Burlington Pike. According to police, 41-year-old Lloyd Owens from Louisville walked up to the bank teller counter and showed a note that demanded money. After he took the money, he quickly tried to flee the bank on foot. Police saw him run across Burlington Pike onto Hopeful Church Road and found him hiding in the rear parking lot of Kerry Hyundai.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — The lone survivor of two dogs who were abandoned during their owner’s move is up for adoption. Lexington-Fayette Animal Care and Control (LFACC) posted on Facebook on Wednesday that authorities are searching for Catherine Meriwether, Adriana Meriwether, and Demetrius Clay, who allegedly moved out of their Emerson Drive home and left two dogs behind. The dogs were “intentionally confined in crates without food or water,” which led to the death of one of the dogs. The second is “suffering from cruel neglect, but still alive.”
