Hodgenville man charged with murder, captured in Hart County
UPTON, Ky. – A Hodgenville man is charged with murder after an alleged hit and run in Hardin County on Wednesday morning at 11:53 am. According to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, Matthew Bush, 33, was operating a 1993 Chevrolet Truck southbound on North Walnut Street in Upton, when he struck and killed a pedestrian that entered the roadway to return to a residence.
MCCH searching for next CEO after Penner retirement announcement
MURRAY – Murray-Calloway County Hospital recently made the official announcement that President and CEO Jerry Penner is retiring in 2025 after 14 years of service. Penner, FACHE (Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives), will step down on March 31, 2025. He stepped into his position on April 1, 2011, and during his tenure at MCCH, he led many initiatives and successfully added new providers and innovative service lines, acquired new physician practices and led the construction and fundraising efforts of the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House, a hospital news release said. He also piloted the Hospital Incident Command System team through a “once-in-a lifetime” COVID-19 global pandemic all while establishing a new, highly successful interventional cardiology program that completed 300 procedures in 2020 and over 2,000 procedures to date.

Man killed in Warren Co. I-65 crash
A Bowling Green man was killed in a crash in Warren County Tuesday on Interstate 65. According to Kentucky State Police, the collision happened on I-65 in Smiths Grove near the 38-mile-marker around 9 p.m. Preliminary investigation determined that a vehicle operated by 36-year-old Anthony Hodge of Bowling Green was heading northbound on I-65 when he hydroplaned in standing water from heavy rain.

This particular story isn't Texas related but does involve a Texas favorite, Buc-ee's. This is also a relatable thing for myself being in the radio, and marketing, industry. This story has to do with a Reddit post about a Buc-ee's billboard placed along Interstate 75 in Kentucky. It shows a Buc-ee's billboard on the bottom with another billboard on top that's advertising a gun range. It's what the Buc-ee's billboard says that has caused an uproar online. I decided to investigate.
