Kentucky Student Drowns at Lake Tahoe; Indiana University Pays Tribute to Young Broadcaster
A 20-year-old man from Kentucky lost his life this past weekend after a tragic incident at Lake Tahoe. The Carson City Sheriff's Office confirmed the drowning of Owen Joseph McDonough, who was visiting from Villa Hills, Kentucky. Attempts to rescue and resuscitate him were to no avail after he was found struggling in the water off Whale Beach's eastern shore.

988 lifeline sees surge in calls as local awareness, impact grows
LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Since its launch in 2022, the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline has been a beacon of hope for many Kentuckians, with over 120,000 residents utilizing the service. David Hafley is a 988-volunteer crisis counselor. Hafley’s journey into crisis counseling is personal after he lost his son, Tom, to suicide in 2015.
