(WNY News Now) – In a late-night operation, law enforcement swiftly apprehended parole violator Edward Kindt, convicted of a notorious 1999 crime. On the evening of July 24, 2024, the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office was alerted by NYS Parole about Edward Kindt’s parole violation. Kindt, who was convicted of raping and murdering a Salamanca woman in 1999 and released on parole in 2023, had gone off his GPS monitor and left his transitional housing without authorization.
