But, on the other hand, there's always the lingering fear that a prisoner may escape or that there could be a riot. Silver Creek Man Charged After Threatening People with Knife
A Silver Creek man was arrested after he had threatened other people with a knife. On Saturday around 12:45am, officers with the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a disorderly subject in the road. Officers located 33-year-old Joshua Adams upon arrival, and it was later determined that Adams had allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with others, which resulted in him leaving the area and arming himself with a knife. He had also allegedly raised the knife and threatened the lives of the other people at the location. Adams was taken into custody without incident and is charged with endangering the welfare of a child, 2nd degree menacing, 2nd degree aggravated harassment, and 2nd degree harassment. He will appear in the Town of Hanover court at a later date.
Jamestown Woman Arrested After Driving with 26 License Suspensions
A Jamestown woman was arrested after she was found to have been driving with a license that was suspended over 20 times. On Thursday around 2:30 AM, Jamestown Police officers observed a vehicle on North Main Street traveling without lights. Officers conducted a traffic stop on West 10th Street and found that the vehicle operator, 31-year-old Sienna Swanson, was allegedly operating the vehicle after her license was previously suspended 26 times stemming from 10 different incidents, where she received uniform traffic tickets that were not answered for. Swanson was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where she was charged with 1st-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. She has since been released with appearance tickets due to New York State's bail reform law.
