(The Center Square) – According to court-appointed class attorneys, less than 1% of the nearly 200,000 households involved in the East Palestine train derailment settlement opted out of the $600 million deal. A court filing after the July 1 opt-out and objection deadline showed 0.09% of the 190,887 households in the settlement class opted out of the agreement. Lewisburg Woman Hospitalized Following a Pedestrian Accident
LEWISBURG – The Daily Item reports a Lewisburg woman was taken to Geisinger Medical Center after she was struck by a vehicle while walking Tuesday morning. Police say Sharon Lawer was struck at the intersection of Market Street and South Second Street in Lewisburg. Police say she was trying to cross Market Street when she was struck by a vehicle driven by Cindy Shrawder of Milton. Police say Shrawder had the right of way and Lawer went against the pedestrian walk signal at the intersection. Lawer was hospitalized following the incident.
