A highly anticipated mountain bike trail system, Mud Springs, is estimated to have an economic effect of around $4.5 million dollars annually once it’s completed, according to an impact analysis. Mike Trout lasted two inning into the first game of his return from knee surgery in his attempted comeback from a meniscus tear. The Los Angeles Angels announced that Trout left Tuesday's game with Triple-A Salt Lake Bees because of knee soreness. On Wednesday, the Angels announced that Trout would not be in the Bees lineup and returning to the Angels for evaluation. Further details of his condition were not immediately clear.
Motorcycle rider killed in crash on St. George Boulevard overpass
ST. GEORGE — A crash reconstruction team was called out to a motorcycle crash that killed one person on an Interstate 15 overpass late Wednesday night. Shortly after 10 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a crash on the St. George Boulevard overpass of I-15 involving a motorcycle with two riders. Both were transported to St. George Regional Hospital via a Gold Cross Ambulance. The motorcycle driver was reportedly pronounced dead shortly after arrival, while the passenger sustained serious injuries, St. George Police Officer Tiffany Mitchell told St. George News.
