WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — A fugitive wanted for three decades out of Wisconsin was captured in West Des Moines last week. West Des Moines Police arrested George Hartleroad on June 26. NWS: Wisconsin tornado count now up to 39
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The National Weather Service has confirmed that 39 tornadoes have touched down in the state so far this year. This comes after an active month of June where 15 tornadoes touched down in Wisconsin. June 22 was the most significant day for tornadoes during the month.
