Structure Fire Closes Portion Of Mineral Point Road This Evening
At approximately 6:22 this evening, crews from the Madison Fire Department responded to the 8500 block of Mineral Point Road for reports of a structure fire of a fully involved pole barn. Smoke could be seen for approximately a mile from the location. Ladder 2 was the first on scene and confirmed the structure fire. Also assisting was Ladder 7, Engine 7, Engine 9, and Medic 2 on the initial defensive fire attack. Ladder 2 provided exposure protection for two above ground fuel tanks in close proximity to the fire building. Ladder 2 confirmed a partial building collapse. Portions of West Mineral Point Road were shut down. At this time, the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Crews will remain on scene throughout the night extinguishing hot spots. No injuries were reported.
Group alleges discrimination after being denied service at Waunakee business
WAUNAKEE, Wis. (WMTV) - A group of men from the South who were traveling through Wisconsin captured a video of a Waunakee business refusing to serve them. New opportunities and restrictions ahead of gun deer season
(WJFW)- During the gun deer season last fall hunters killed roughly 14% fewer bucks and 27% fewer does in northern Wisconsin compared to the last 5 year average. The natural resources board met in Green Bay and unanimously approved certain recommendations for the 2024 deer season. Certain counties will have new restrictions and new opportunities.
Packers' AJ Dillon and wife launch foundation to combat hunger in Northeast Wisconsin
LITTLE CHUTE (WLUK) -- Green Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon and his wife, Gabrielle, have launched The Dillon Family Foundation to tackle hunger in our area. The couple partnered with Feeding America in order to help as many people as possible. The foundation kicked off Thursday afternoon, packing 375 meals to be delivered to families across Northeast Wisconsin.
