Columbia woman receives probation for nailing man in basement
A Columbia woman who nailed a man shut in a basement pleads down to one of the three charges filed against her. Alexis Fenton had been charged with third-degree domestic assault, armed criminal action, and third-degree kidnapping. She pleaded guilty Monday to the domestic assault charge and was sentenced to five years supervised probation. If Fenton violates her probation, she faces four years in prison.
PWC Collides With Tube On Lake Of The Ozarks, Tuber Injured
LAKE OF THE OZARKS — A woman from Wichita, Kan., was hurt when a PWC collided with a tube being pulled on the main channel Tuesday evening. Jonathan Brock, 41, was driving a 1995 Chaparral 200 and pulling a tube around 7:35 p.m., July 23, when a 2023 Yamaha Waverunner driven by 20-year-old Trevor Beck collided with the inflatable device near the 31 Mile Marker, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Chamber moving in the right direction, director says
