Department of Public Health to host "Project Refresh" Shower Day
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WFXG) - The Department of Public Health will host "Project Refresh" Shower Day on Friday, June 28. The community event will take place at the Richmond County Health Department, located at 950 Laney Walker Blvd, from 9 a.m. to noon. Event organizer Lisa Wheeler says there will be clothes and shoes available for women, men, children, and babies. Attendees can also enjoy food, drinks, and breakfast treats.

Driver killed in crash on I-20 in Augusta
RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WFXG) - The Richmond County Coroner’s Office is investigating a deadly crash in Augusta. It happened Wednesday morning on Interstate 20 at Riverwatch Parkway. The car was traveling west when the driver apparently lost control at a high rate of speed, according to Coroner Mark Bowen.
