Industrial development planned for Staten Island
A new industrial development is set for Staten Island's North Shore.<\p> Atlanta-based developer Stonemont Financial Group and New York City-based developer Cerberus Capital Management are set to redevelop a self-storage site at 2577 Forest Ave. into a 6.4-acre industrial outdoor storage facility. The development will also construct a 10,000-square-foot building on-site with amenities and maintenance features.<\p>

Wednesday will mark 10 years since the death of Eric Garner at the hands of NYPD officers on Staten Island. His mother, Gwen Carr, is still looking to keep his memory alive. “I’m still trying to keep my son’s name relevant. Still fighting for justice for myself, as well as others,” Carr said in an interview with NY1 on Sunday. “There’s so many of us out here that didn’t get justice, and we want justice.
