End of Watch Ride to Remember honors Seara Burton

Since 2020, an organization called Beyond the Call of Duty has done a nationwide tour called End of Watch Ride to Remember as a way to honor fallen police officers over the past two years.

This year, the ride is stopping at 254 agencies across the United States to pay tribute to the officers who have lost their lives in 2022 and 2023.

On Tuesday, the ride stopped in Richmond to honor RPD K9 Officer Seara Burton, who ended her watch in 2022.

For this story, I was able to speak to RPD Chief Kyle Weatherly, one of the main organizers of the ride, and Burton's family for the first time since their court-issued gag order was dropped.
