Hallowell makes more cuts to budget after citizens' tax concerns
HALLOWELL (WGME) - There's an ongoing fight over property taxes and the city budget in Hallowell, where more than 200 residents petitioned city leaders to make more cuts. Hallowell city leaders say property taxes are on the rise due to a recent surprise revaluation of homes, the ending of a state tax stabilization program and the new budget, which has already seen significant cuts.

Emergency crews on scene of 'serious' crash involving bicyclist in Sabattus
SABATTUS, Maine — Emergency crews responded to the scene of a "serious" crash involving a bicyclist Thursday afternoon in Sabattus.
