Former Cardinals Plute/Kohlmyer Named as Part of Beadling SC 125th Anniversary Team
Wheeling, W. Va. - For 125 years, Beadling Soccer Club in Pennsylvania has been one of the top 100 soccer clubs in the country. The organization celebrated its 125th anniversary by naming the Beadling SC 125th Anniversary Boys and Girls teams and the Best Teams in club history. Two former Wheeling University Women's Soccer players would end up making the list, with current Athletic Director Carrie Hanna (Plute) and 2024 Hall of Famer Lesley Kohlmyer each making the 125th Anniversary Girls Team.
2 drug trafficking rings operating in West Virginia ‘dismantled’
Two drug trafficking organizations that operate in West Virginia, one of which has ties to the Sinaloa Drug Cartel, were "dismantled" after a federal grand jury returned 25 indictments, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of West Virginia (USAO) announced Tuesday.

Tornado touches down in southwest Ohio, NWS confirms
MORROW, Ohio — A small tornado early Tuesday morning in southwest Ohio caused minor damage to homes and uprooted some trees, according to the National Weather Service. The EF-1 tornado set down in Warren County at about 1:40 a.m. and stayed on the ground for 10 minutes and more than eight miles, carrying into Clinton County. Its top estimated wind speed was 95 mph.

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF1 tornado in Warren County near Morrow Tuesday morning around 1:40am. It was on the ground for 8.1 miles moving into Clinton County near Blanchester. They say the peak winds were 95mph. With that tornado, the National Weather Service has officially confirmed 65 tornadoes in the state of Ohio so far this year. That is the most ever on record going back to 1950. 1992 is second with 62 tornadoes and just last year in 2023 we had 60.
