Doug Williams sits down with AWadd and MP at the Super Bowl

LAS VEGAS - Washington football legend Doug Williams was asked by Adam Epstein if he had a message for Commanders fans in Richmond.

"Tell them to hold on, we're coming," he said on 910 The Fan's Bud Light Big Game Week Coverage. "We're gonna be a lot better than where we've been, you know, with (new coach Dan Quinn) and his group. I just feel a lot better with this team and I know we were supposed to have been that way before, but it's something about this group, they've got a different feel."

Williams also reflected on his season with Eric Bieniemy, who was not retained by the new staff.

"I feel for Eric, you know, and I got a chance to not just this year, but through the years, and it was something that I was wishing for just like a lot of other people, him getting an opportunity to be the head coach," Williams said. He added: "Hopefully he'll land somewhere this year and hopefully still get that chance to be that head coach that I think he should be."
