    Four free concerts, a free block party at the Valentine, and a free outdoor festival, plus music and bubbles in a beautiful backyard. All in “What’s Booming RVA: FREE Concerts and Fun.”

    Free Concert Series from the UR Department of Music

    Savor four nights of very different musical presentations. FREE, registration required. At University of Richmond.

    Chesterfield Outdoor Fest

    April 13, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Chesterfield County Fairgrounds, Chesterfield

    A family-fun festival including demos, markets, and food trucks, designed to build appreciation for the sustainable community and outdoor adventures – like orienteering and geocaching, disc golf demo, golf and archery demos, and more. Including an Earth Day 5K and 1K.

    125 Community Day

    April 13, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Valentine, Richmond

    Celebrate the Valentine’s 125th anniversary and the opening of its newest exhibition, “Turning Points: Richmond in the 1890s.” Activities for all ages inside and out, market, and food trucks. FREE.

    The Whiskey Rebellion Outdoor Concert

    April 14, 3 p.m., at the Cultural Arts Center, Glen Allen

    Mix the spontaneity of bluegrass, the collectiveness of jazz, and the urgency of rock and roll for unique take on everything from traditional bluegrass to anthemic party favorites.

    RESCHEDULED Bubbles & Blooms

    April 17, 5 to 8 p.m., at Agecroft Hall and Gardens, Richmond

    Food, drinks, and strolls through the gardens on the banks of the James River and the first floor of the museum. Beverages from Garden Grove Brewing & Urban Winery, dinner from River City Wood Fire, and ice cream from DLites Desserts available for purchase, music from guitarist Kevin Harding.
