Lawncare service’s website names Richmond U.S.’s 18th-best BBQ city

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — An article on lawncare service LawnStarter’s website ranks Richmond the United States’ 18th-best city for barbeque.

According to the article, only the country’s 500 biggest cities were counted and the rankings were determined by each city’s access to barbeque restaurants, average customer satisfaction, awards won by restaurants, how many barbeque festivals or competitions hosted and whether the city has any restaurants that have been recognized by the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS).

Richmond was ranked No. 44 for access, No. 9 for average customer satisfaction and No. 12 for awards. The article’s No. 1 city for average customer satisfaction was Los Angeles and its No. 1 city for access to restaurants was San Antonio, Texas.

The article’s No. 1 city, Kansas City, Mo., ranked No. 1 for awards, event hosting and KCBS recognitions, but ranked No. 46 for average customer satisfaction and No. 57 for access to restaurants.
