    Library of Virginia to host closing celebration for ‘Indigenous Perspectives’ exhibit

    RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Library of Virginia will host a closing celebration for its exhibit “ Indigenous Perspectives ,” which will feature performances and displays from tribal representatives.

    The event will span from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2 at the library.

    According to the library, attendees can expect to enjoy a drumming circle, dancing and demonstrations of traditional crafts in celebration of Virginia’s 11 federally and state-recognized tribes.

    The Hungry Hungry Arrow food truck will feature Indigenous foods, including homemade fry bread.

    Library of Virginia’s mobile van to head to Goochland branch of Pamunkey Regional Library

    No registration is required to attend. Limited free parking is available underneath the library at 800 East Broad Street.

    The exhibition runs through Aug. 17 in the library’s Exhibition Gallery and Lobby. For more information about the exhibit, visit the library’s website .
